Item #17 Steve Portteus, Artist Steve Portteus was born and raised in Seattle, Washington. He had an interest in ceramics from an early age, working as a teacher’s assistant in his high school ceramics department and continuing through his studies at Western Washington University where he received a BA in Ceramics in 1980. “Ceramic Landscape” This ceramic landscape is made from stoneware and painted with low-fire glazes.
